Welcome to my research website!

I am a post-doc in the Grant-Dangl lab at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. My current research focuses on the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying the assembly of the plant root microbiome under different environments.

I obtained my PhD in 2018 from the University of Toronto working with Marc Johnson. During my PhD research, I studied how plants alter the living and non-living components of soil ecosystems and how these alterations feedback to influence plants. I used a combination of molecular, experimental, and computational tools from ecology, evolutionary biology, and microbiology.
